United Nations International Day of Peace in New York

Four students from District 205 were selected to attend The International Day of Peace in New York on September 18, 2009. Here are some pictures from there trip.

United Nations Summer Leadership Academy middle school students worked  together with District 205 students on September 18, 2009 at Thornton Township High School to participate in the International Day of Peace in New York via webcast.  The students learned about what the day was all about along with plenty of activities and snacks. This event was related to the September 18th International Day of Peace that District 205 students attended in New York.

The United Nations students that attended the International Day of Peace Celebration got together again on October 29, 2009 at Thornton Township High School. Here is a photo gallery of the event.
